Dublin Cuala Press 1943 First Edition Cloth Good with no dust jacket
A quite reasonable copy of this rare first edition. Yellow boards, with linen spine and label to spine. Author and title to front cover and to spine. Yellow is a little darkened and dirty. Linen also a little dirty. A little bumping but nothing major. Internally clean and tidy, BUT this is a library copy, and has a library label to the inside front board, and a barcode label stuck to the ffep. There is also some discolouration where a label has been removed from the verso of the ffep. There are two security labels One to the blank page between the play and the catalogue and one to the last page of the catalogue below the text. small library stamp to base of the title page and to the final page of the play. Library information to verso of title page. (Sounds worse than the book looks but would rather list every stamp). The pages themselves are very clean and on beautiful irish paper. Although this book has the limitation page [p53] following the play, this copy is written as "out of Series" rather than numbered. pp [8] 1-52 [13] catalogue / Bibliography of Cuala Press and Dun Emer press books to the rear.; 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall
