Graham Greene The Lawless Roads London Longmans Green & Co. 1939 First Edition Cloth Very Good No Jacket 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall Publisher: Heinemann, 1st edition UK hardback 1939.This is the Scarce First State with Gilt rather than black lettering to spine. Red cloth is reasonably clean. Although a little darkened and with slight rubbing there is not significant dirt to it. The is a light patch where It appears that a label has been removed from the upper cover. There is a small amount of chipping to the base of the spine and a black mark on the bottom edge otherwise a very good copy. Internally the book is generally very clean, with no foxing or dirt other than a hint to the end papers. The front end paper has a tiny small hole (In the sea portion of map - so detracts less). To the rear board, there is sign of a label having been removed, with a little of this left stuck down. Generally an attractive copy of this scarce First State Greene book. Price: 105.00 GBP
